2026 LSRC Board Elections: December 4-10, 2025
We are seeking individuals interested in serving on the Lake Sammamish Run Club Board in 2026!
The board plays a crucial role in organizing events, managing club activities, and ensuring that our running community continues to thrive. We encourage all members who are passionate about running and dedicated to our club's mission to consider running for a board position.
There are seven (7) board positions to be elected: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and three (3) At Large Members.
- The incumbent President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary are all eligible for re-election (maximum four consecutive years).
- All current At Large Members have reached term of office limits (one year).
Election Process
- All Full Members (dues paying members) of Lake Sammamish Run Club may vote in the annual board election. Members can upgrade to, or become a, Full Member here or by logging into your membership account and updating your membership level.
- Full Members interested in running for a board position may submit their candidate statement to the board by emailing board@lakesammamishrunclub.org. The statement should include the following: (1) what position you are running for, (2) a few comments about yourself, and (3) what you can do to serve the running community.
- Members may also nominate anyone for any position, provided they accept the nomination and are a Full Member.
- An online ballot containing candidate statements will be sent via email to all Full Members on December 4, 2025.
- You must be logged into your LSRC membership account to access your ballot. Each member may cast one (1) vote for each of the seven (7) board positions to be elected.
- Votes for each position will be tallied and the election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting and Holiday Party on December 12, 2025. Results will also be announced via email following the Annual Meeting and Holiday Party.
Candidate Requirements
This is a year-long commitment from December 13, 2025 to approximately December 12, 2026.
- You must be a Full Member (dues paying member) of Lake Sammamish Run Club.
- Be an active member of the club, either by regularly attending at least one weekly run or by promoting the club through email, Facebook, or other communication channels.
- Be able to attend monthly board meetings (usually held virtually, on a weeknight evening).
- Be able to participate in club leadership group chats (i.e., Facebook Messenger).
- Provide input and vote on proposals for events, spending, and other decisions.
