Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join?

Congratulations - you’ve joined! Now you just have to show up to our next run. Seriously though - the first step to joining the club is attending a run. You can also join our Facebook group and email list to keep up with club updates.

Will I have anyone to run with?

We usually have 10-20 people at a group run, and they naturally break out into a few different pace groups. Typical paces are roughly 7:00 min/mile, 8:30 min/mile, and 10:00 min/mile. If you have any concerns about having someone to run with, you can post in the Facebook group prior to the run or talk to the run leader when you show up. Also - feel free to bring a friend!

What if I’m super slow?

We’ll try to have someone run your pace with you. However, we recommend you take a look at the route (posted on Facebook) ahead of time if you can. Also, you might want to get started at our Monday runs, which typically have more people and easy-to-follow routes.

What if I’m super fast?

For some reason, there are a lot of fast people in the club. If a 2:27 marathoner is too slow for you, you might want to look for another club.

Does the club do anything except run?

Yes! We sometimes go out for dinner or ice cream after our runs, and we’ve also held a few picnics. Social options will be posted on the Facebook page.

Does the club enter races together?

Right now, we’re just hosting group runs, but there are plans to enter races in the future. Club members are entering CIM 2021, for instance.

What benefits do I get for joining?

Weekly group runs, track workouts, non-running social events, camaraderie, and a way to stay healthy and improve your running while making friends!
