Every first Sunday of the month (except October and December, when we have evening holiday runs) we have a field trip to explore different trails and routes, then get coffee afterwards. We meet at 8:30 AM for the run - most people run anywhere from 30-90 minutes and head over to coffee around 9:45 AM!
AUGUST: We're heading north to Mill Creek to run the paved North Creek Trail system, a wetland refuge passing through the heart of town. Those seeking shorter distances can go north to McCollum Park & Ride and turn around for a total of 5K. Those seeking a mid-distance route can do a double out-and-back north then south on the trail for just over 5M. For the adventurous (map recommended), enjoy a 7.6M loop where you take North Creek Trail to North Creek Drive, cross 527, continue through the Mill Creek Nature Preserve's trails before crossing 527 again, then do an out-and-back jaunt on the North Creek floating boardwalk before returning to start. You might even spot a heron or two!
