This is a casual unscored meet for newcomers, the experienced, and anyone in between! We are not required to field a full team, have uniforms, or USATF membership. Please REGISTER here on this page to serve as an RSVP if you are interested in this event. There is also a serious (scored) race happening in this same morning. While some may dare to do both, most will probably opt for one or the other, so pick your poison! Please decide sooner rather than later so we can best allocate personnel to support.

Time: Arrive by 3:30pm (or earlier to watch the high school races!). The Scott Skile's Memorial All-Comers which we will be participating in is at 4:30pm.

Location: Lakewood High School (in Arlington)

Cost: Last year there was no fee to join this race, but bring $10-20 cash just in case.

What to bring: XC shoes with 1/4" spikes, and/or shoes that have good traction on grass on a variety of surfaces (grass, dirt, gravel, rubber track)

What to expect: Hole in the Wall is a large XC event where many high schools from all across Western Washington compete. Races will be happening all day, and the very last race is the Scott Skile's Memorial All-Comers race open to coaches, fans, friends and family members. Expect a mass start with about 100 people spanning across a wide start line on the turf. Everyone will try to sprint hard at the beginning and runners will funnel into a narrower pack after the first 100 meters. There are fewer runners and the ability level is more spread out than it is for the Twilight race, so start at your own pace. The course consists of 2.5 loops and is relatively flat with a few short, abrupt down hill and uphill spots. 1: Mass start on the baseball fields. 2: Short downhill to the track for a partial lap. 3. Short downhill to the wooded trail. 4. Steep uphill to the back of the baseball fields. This is about a mile in. 5. Winding around the baseball fields. 6. Repeat steps 2-5. Mile 2 is in the wooded trail section. 7. Short downhill (for the 3rd and final time) to the track and finish!
